Well, here we are in Denver for the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals. Looking back on Bristol, we had some really good runs in qualifying, won our opening-round race Sunday before a wild pedalfest with Brandon Bernstein in the quarterfinals, that we ended up losing by a tad.
Anyway, it was a real honor to have the JEGS.com body on the dragster and we’re proud to have them as an associate sponsor. I wanted to even the score with Bristol after what happened last year but I guess that’ll have to wait for another time.
The guys have been real busy making sure we’re ready and well equipped for the second half of the season. It looks like we have enough lifters and cylinders to last for two seasons but we all know you can never have enough parts.
I really love the Western Swing and the Big Sky views and vistas along the way. Even Cookie, my reliable Cocker Spaniel, likes it out here. Next stop after Denver is Seattle and then for us, the highlight of the year -- the Fram Autolite NHRA Nationals in Sonoma. You can bet we’ll be doing our best to make sure the Fram executives and their guests have the time of the season at our awesome hospitality rig. The die-hard fans out there will remember the year we swept the swing. While that might be a long shot this time through we are looking to go rounds and secure our spot in the Countdown.
I hope everyone can make it to Sonoma, or one of the other races on the Swing. Please stop by and say hello and make sure you bring a new Fram filter for me to sign. (We have a little contest going). Anyone that brings 10 or more filters for me to sign gets a free C-Mac T-shirt out of the deal. We will also take your photo and who knows you could see yourself in my next blog with all your autographed filters. We call it the C-Mac challenge.
Over and out,
C-Mac
