This has definitely been a long stretch for us as far as not racing and competing on the NHRA circuit, but I think the end is in sight from this dry stretch. We are going to be competing at Indy and Charlotte, and, maybe, through the rest of the season.
We have some great potential partners lined up for our race team and are looking forward to showing them what kind of product we can put on the track! The team is just looking forward to getting back on the track and competing with the best drag racers in the world, in the best class in the world.
Other than that Jim and I have been working really hard in the engine shop on our engines. Kenny Koretsky and Richie Stevens ran our engine at the Brainard event and qualified well. So that gives us ammunition to race in Indy. Hopefully, those guys will do well in Reading, giving us more data for our arsenal and to be ready to go in Indy. Obviously, Indy is the largest race of the year. I want to make sure we go out there and do well in front of the whole world. Our plan is to test before we go to Indy in St. Louis for a couple of days.
As you can see, we’ve got a lot of great things going with our race program. Thank you for your patience. And for all of the fans that have written letters of encouragement to our race team, hopefully, we can get out there and make you all proud.
We have added another feature to our website, http://www.tomhammondsracing.com/, where you can actually, access the NHRA Blog on our website, so we are excited about that. All you fans, when you get a chance, go and check our website out! It keeps you up to date with what is going on with our program. I am very excited about our MySpace page (www.myspace.com/tomhammondsracing) as well. I have been getting a lot of well wishers on MySpace and it has been a lot of fun. I have met some great people who are wonderful drag racing fans. Continue to go to our page and become one of our friends!
