Happy humpday everyone, BB back again with more from the recently completed Carolinas Nationals.
First off, and I've said this in the past many times, it makes my day when a fan comes up to me at the track to talk about this blog. Literally dozens of you faithful "GilbyManiacs" did just that over the weekend and made it a point to find me at zMax and it makes all the time it takes me to do this blog worthwhile, so to all of you, thanks for reading.
One fan even told Gilby himself that our blog was his favorite and that Gilby should give me a raise, I'll be looking at my next paycheck very carefully...LOL.
As you probably know we had a new sponsor on the flanks of the car, Rinnai Tankless Hot Water Heaters, and part of the deal was that we hosted hospitality for 150 employees and Rinnai's customers so we set up a 20' by 40' tent next to our pit and catered lunch every day. Every guest had a reserved seat in the grandstands to watch the race and our pit area was jammed all day with plumbers from all over the southeast and I'm pretty sure that they all had a good time.
Last but not least here's a shot of our car burning out in front of the west side grandstands during the first qualifying run on Saturday afternoon and as you can see, the grandstands were jam packed.
Gotta run right now, type at you L8R.
