Happy Tuesday everyone, a very soggy Double-B here with you.

I'm wet because I'm a crazy man and will do whatever it takes, even playing in the rain to keep this team on schedule for our return to the NHRA circuit in Charlotte.  The schedule was that Tuesday morning we'd drag our Monte Carlo body up from Blacksburg to Charlotte (about a 60-mile trip) to drop it off at Transport Graphics to get the new Rinnai wrap installed.

Mother Nature threw us a curveball.  Since Kevin was down in Florida doing a display with our Tequila car and he had our enclosed trailer, Justin Hopson, one of the Trick Tank Motocross team riders, and I were going to make the move using an open trailer.

Well the remnants of Hurricane Fay decided to pay us a visit today and at times we were getting an inch of rain an hour.  We were able to load the body inside the shop but went through torrential downpours the entire trip and we all got pretty wet moving the body into Transport's shop.

I followed Justin in the van/trailer as we drove up I-85 and let me tell you, a lot of people slowed down to check the car out; I guess it's not often that you see a Funny Car going down the road?

Anyway I'm pretty much a pro doing this and the one thing I learned is that if you're hauling a Funny Car with the rear wing on it on an open trailer you'd better make sure you load it backwards because if you load it forward, the wind, even at 60 mph, exerts a lot of downforce, enough to try to lift the front end of the car.

Anyway we made it there with no problems and they're hot on it and I should be able to have photos for you of the work in progress, hopefully tomorrow.

Next up is this photo I got from my buddy and our team chef Eddie Preston.  Edzo lives in Palm Beach, Fla., and has a pretty nice set-up for boarding up his house when a hurricane is forecasted.  He's got the whole deal, galvanized steel shutters for every opening in his house and he's survived without any major damage the past 15 years but Hurricane Fay's strong winds hit him hard this time as you can see... LOL!

That's all for now, type at you tomorrow.
