NHRA Full Throttle Lucas Oil

First off I've got to thank regular blog reader Henry Perry from parts unknown for his help in fixing up the crummy photo of the car I posted yesterday, here's his magic...Henry, type at me brudda.

Gilby, Jake and the rest of the Trick Tank MX team are racing today in the JMX series finale in near-by Lincolnton.  All Jake has to do is show up and make a lap to clinch the championship, he's had three firsts and a whole bunch of other top five finishes to lead the class by a large margin going to the finals and we're all proud of him and the rest of the team.

Literally thousands of fans showed up at the new zMax Dragway @ Concord yesterday for their very well publicized open house.    As you can see everyone had a chance to check out the track, tour the tower, drive their street car down the right-side dragstrip and meet GA and Mr. Zilla.

While I was there I met up with the team from the Homewood Suites by Hilton Charlotte/University who are sponsoring our effort in Concord.  The hotel had a promotion to award one of the folks who made a reservation with them for the Carolinas Nationals with a special VIP prize package including a pair of 4-day tickets and admission to our Rinnai Tankless Hot Water Heater hospitality area.  From left to right is David Cannon, me, Terri Gaeta and Patricia White Stewart.  They'll also be giving out another pair of VIP tickets at the "Nitro Reception" on Thursday, Sept. 11th that's open to all the fans who want to stop by and see our new Rinnai car.

So if your name is Anthony Nicholson and you live in Union City, Calif., you're a winner dude.  I'll be in touch to hook you up with your really swell prize package.

Then Saturday night, well that's another story for another blog.
