Hey everyone, your old pal BB back with you once again with a real quick update.
As you probably know, if you're a regular here, our car chief Kevin Fenstermaker made a hot lap to Murf McKinney's shop in Lafayette, Ind., earlier this week to pick up our new updated chassis that's required by the NHRA rules so that we can run at our hometown race here in Charlotte next month.
Murf and his gang did a great job of getting the car done in a timely manner and we now have exactly four weeks to put the car back together and be ready for the Carolinas Nationals and we're all looking forward to getting back on track.
I drove down to Blacksburg today to check on the progress and I'm pleased to say that Kevin and the guys are way ahead of schedule getting the car assembled and we should be in good shape, hopefully we'll be able to make a few test runs before the event to make sure that all is okay and be ready for the race.
Murf backhalved the car and as you can see by the second photo we now have a cut-up chassis that's not worth anything except for a very expensive souvenir.
I've received quite a few emails asking who is going to be our one-race sponsor for the race and who is going to be our crew chief now that Nicky Boninfante has gone to work for the Kalittas.
I can't tell you anything right at this moment but I should be able to fill you guys in hopefully before the week is out. Stay tuned.
Gotta run right now, type at you L8R.
