As you probably know we are now sponsored by Tradicion Azul Tequila. Roughly translated it means "Traditional Blue Tequila."

It's a brand new product on the market and it's slowly being rolled out across the country. It takes a whole lot of work to get it approved for sale by the local state ABC boards, then into the hands of the distributors, then into the package stores and bars.

As of right now it's available in only three states (California, Texas and Nevada) but the folks from the parent company, Xtraordinario Brands, are working their butts off to get it on the shelves in all 50 states as soon as they can.

I met today with Jay Pennington, the managing director of the company, and he told me that it should be on the shelves just about everywhere by the fall and I'll keep you "GilbyManiacs" up to speed on the rollout.

Although it's not available yet here in North Carolina Jay gave me a bottle of the Blanco (clear) and Reposado (amber) so that I could take a photo of them so you know what to look for when it becomes available.

Jay also told me that they're planning on coming out with those little 50 ML bottles that you find in hotel mini-bars with a picture of our race car on them, sure to be a collector item for all of you drag racing fans.
