As you know, if you're a regular here, that we have what I call "Stupid Contests." I met up with Gilby this morning and asked him if he had an idea for a blog and he came up with this:

Here's a photo of a part that Truck Equipment Manufacturing Company (TEMCO) is currently building for the military. We're building literally thousands of them and the question is "What is it?"

Since this is the hardest contest we've ever had, we're going to offer a really swell prize: Two four-day tickets to the NHRA national event of your choice in either 2008 or 2009.

Here's a hint: It's a part for a weapon that yours truly used when I went to the University of South Vietnam in 1966.
