Where have we been?Wednesday, October 08, 2008

Hey everyone, BB here with you.

Judging by the number of emails we've received asking why we haven't updated this blog in over a week I guess you guys really miss us. I'm sorry but I just haven't had the time this past week as I've been spending most of my time doing stuff for the Trick Tank Arenacross team in preparation for this weekend's U.S. Open on Arenacross in Las Vegas.

Speaking of the MX team the rig is on its way out to Vegas as I type this. The stacker trailer is loaded up with 27 (count 'em) dirt bikes in all shapes and sizes and they should arrive at the MGM Grand sometime tomorrow. The main event is on Sunday and then they'll make the long drive home, we're all hoping that they'll come home with some really big trophies. I'll let you guys know the results in Monday's blog, stay tuned...

Down at Blacksburg the guys are working on the car getting it ready for Rockingham next weekend. Mike Kloeber will once again be turning the knobs and we're looking forward getting back on track.

A while back I told you about NASCAR driver Mike Wallace and his desire to drive a Funny Car. Well the process has started and if everything goes according to plan his first lap will probably take place next Sunday afternoon after eliminations are completed in Rockingham. Mike will be racing his Nationwide Series car up in Martinsville, Va., the night before then he'll be in Rockingham with us on Sunday.

But here's the deal. Mike will make his first lap, not in our Funny Car but in Bill Evans' A/FD. Since the controls in a A/FD are almost identical to a nitro Funny Car the consensus is that it would be a good learning curve for Mike to drive an A/FD first before he hops in a Funny Car, sort of like John Force did for his daughters.

Gotta run now, I promise that we'll be back before the weekend.
