Lucas Oil Products is the sponsor of NHRA's Sportsman series. The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series features competition at national and divisional events in eight categories (Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street).

More than 35,000 licensed racers participate in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, which comprises 45 divisional and 23 national events. Top Alcohol Dragsters and Top Alcohol Funny Cars will be showcased at 16 NHRA national events, which will be televised during one-hour shows on ESPN2.

Drivers in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will compete for more than $560,000 in year-end champion's bonuses, including $37,500 each for national champions in Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car. Divisional champions in those two categories from each of NHRA's seven geographic regions will earn $8,500.

In addition, the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series features bonus money for competitors through $215,500 in Sealed Power Low Qualifier Awards and the $100,000 Jeg's Allstars, a special event showcasing the best drivers in the series.
