They left together, but Schumacher led by 60 feet and steadily extended his lead to win by over a car length to notch his 43rd win in 72 final rounds and puts him second on the all-time win list, one ahead of Dixon and nine behind Joe Amato.

both of these guys have won this race and both of them did it when they were apart of John Force Racing. Pedregon did it in 2002 and Densham did it in 2003. Pedregon is 23 - 8 against Densham in prior events and Pedregon is 1 - 0 against Densham in prior final rounds. Pedregon with the starting line advantage and then Densham had the lead until just past half track when Pedregon drove around him. Pedregon holds on to win his 37th National Event win by 0.0248 seconds (approximately 11 feet).

Hines is 2 - 0 against Guidera in prior events and Hines is 1 - 0 against Guidera in prior final rounds. Guidera with a huge starting line advantage and blast on through for his second National Event win. He ran 6-second pass in every round like he did in his win in Reading and is that is only the fourth that has happened.

5:14 p.m. Baker is a hometown boy, from Milton, Florida and his weekend looked to be over when he struck the tires right off the starting line, but commisso's car was headed for the centerline. He tried to bring it back, but the car went across the groove and made contact with the wall before the finish line and Baker is the winner.

Three blown cars were in the field this nmorning, Perry made it all the way to the finals with just his wife Barbara and son Adam as a crew. Both drivers have been to two prior national event finals, with one win for each of them.

Perry was away first and going away to 1,000 feet, but there was a flash of flame and a puff of smoke from Perry's engine at that point and Finke went by for the win. John Finke's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.040), 330 ft(-0.142), 660ft(-0.069), 1,000ft(-0.072). MOV: 0.1934 seconds (approximately 52 feet).
