Todd came in with an exceptional 4-1 record in final rounds, while this was Hartley's first. Todd left first, ran quicker, and is now 5-1 in final rounds. Hartley kept him honest, but Todd never looked back and won going away.
That puts Todd in second place in the points, 16 points out of first.

Capps holds an 11 to 10 advantage in overall head to head match ups. They have met twice in the final round and they each have won once. Pedregon with a slight starting line advantage, but Capps has the difference made up by 60 feet and then just drives away for the his second consecutive event win. He also wins his second consecutive race this season and increases his point lead over Tony Pedregon to 83 points.

Treble with a big starting line advantage, but then slows and Sampey has the difference made up by 330 feet. She wins this event for the second year in a row.and she is the point leader.

8:40 p.m. THis is an interesting race, two of the "young guns" of Pro Mod racing face off for the title. Cannon had Hernandez coverd off the line, but lost some time almost immediately with tire shake and could not catch Hernandez. He was closing the gap rapidly, just ran out of race track. 8:09 p.m. "All" Reichert needed to back up his 5.103 as an ET record was a 5.154, a pretty awesome number all by itself.
However, Massey is very good at the starting line and Reichert needed to tend to business to make sure he also won the event.Wow!
Massey cut an amazing light, but Reichert had a good enough light to make sure he'd win and he backed up the ET recortd, with a thousandth to spare, and upped the speed record to 284.75. He could have run as fast as 284.85 and used the 282.03 as a backup.

5:56 p.m. Joey Tanksley got all the way to the finals with no CIC penalty; Michael Johnson had a 0.13 CIC penalty in the semifinals.They both had good, almost identical lights and Johnson sacrificed another 0.02 in permanent index adjustment, but he could have used some of the 0.13 he lost last round and could not hold off Tanksley's potent dragster on the top end.
Congratulations to Joey Tanksley for winning the event that didn't want to end! Joey Tanksley's MOV: 0.0586 seconds (approximately
13 feet). He gave up 0.01 in permanent index adjustment, but that's not a bad tradeoff when you get a "Wally" in return. The Spring Nationals still are not complete. The event won't be finished until the Fall, at Ennis, when the Super Street racers run their postponed eliminations.
