INDIANAPOLIS - Racing is complete at the NHRA Summit Racing Series 30th Annual North Central Division Finals at O'Reilly Raceway Park. The home track, O'Reilly Raceway Park, took home the team trophy while Wabash Valley Dragway took home the Youth Team Trophy.

Ron Baisden of Columbus, Ohio, representing National Trail Raceway, was crowned the Summit Super Pro champion. Baisden made a pass of 6.420 seconds at 105.46 mph to defeat Steve Mikus of Ashley, Mich., representing Mid-Michigan Motorplex.

In the Summit Pro Category, Clayton Clark of Bowling Green, Ky., took home the trophy representing Beech Bend Raceway Park. Driving an '85 Calais, Clark made a pass of 6.444 seconds at 105.46 mph to overtake hometown racer, Chris Walters of Indianapolis, Ind., representing O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis.

Jimmie Barrett of Havana, Ill., from Midstate Dragway clinched the Summit Sportsman Championship with a pass of 12.809 seconds at 105.24 mph. Barrett defeated Steve Foley of Barbourville, Ky., from London Dragway.

Joe Deck of Morningview, Ky., was the big winner in the Summit Bike/Sled category representing London Dragway. Deck ran 8.935 seconds at 135.95 mph to defeat Glen Lakins of Trenton, Ohio, from Edgewater Sports Park.

The High School champion was Jordan Eaker of Brownsburg, Ind., from Wabash Valley Dragway who made a final pass of 16.461 seconds at 82.50 mph for the win. Other junior champions included Cody Anderson of Prescott, Mich., from Mid-Michigan Motorplex in the 13-17 Year-old category, Austin Eveland of Nashport, Ohio, from Wabash Valley Dragway in the 10-12 Year-old category and the 8-9 Year-old champion was John Vice of Paris, Ill., also from Wabash Valley Dragway.

Individual winners in Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman and Bike/Sled now will advance to a national run-off at the NHRA Auto Club of Southern California Finals at Pomona Raceway in November. In Pomona, Summit Division Champions will vie for a National Championship and a winner-take-all $5,000 award in each class. Each driver also receives an extra $3,500 just for making the trip to Pomona.
