VP Racing Fuels will sponsor three new bonus award programs for Top Sportsman, Comp, Super Stock, and Stock racers at 2004 NHRA North Central Division events

4/08/2004

VP Racing Fuels will award $200 to the Top Sportsman low qualifier at each of the 2004 North Central Division Top Sportsman events. In addition, separate qualifying points (32 points for the No. 1 qualifier, 31 for No. 2, 30 for No. 3, and so on) will be awarded at each North Central Division Top Sportsman event leading up to the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Beech Bend Raceway Park Aug. 28. At that event, the division's top eight racers based on qualifying points will participate in the VP Racing Fuels Top Sportsman Shootout. The winner of the Shootout, a bonus race within a race, will pocket $1,000 and receive a special trophy and champion's jacket. The runner-up will collect $300, and semifinalists will receive $100 each. The eight qualifiers will be presented a commemorative trophy.

Additionally, in recognition of VP's unique blends of C11, C12, C16, and C25 Racing Fuels for different applications, VP will award $100 to the No. 11 qualifier in Stock, No. 12 qualifier in Super Stock, No. 16 qualifier in Top Sportsman, and No. 25 qualifier in Comp. These VP Racing Fuels Blend Bonuses will be presented at each of the six North Central Division Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events.

The new programs are in addition to VP Racing Fuels' sponsorship of the Race of Champions held during the North Central Division Summit Racing Series Finals.
