NHRA Membership Hospitality Center to return in Atlanta, presented by Chicago Pneumatic

5/10/2004

Beginning at this weekend's Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals presented by Pontiac, NHRA members will again enjoy an exclusive hospitality area at select NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events. The NHRA Membership Hospitality Center presented by Chicago Pneumatic will operate not only May 13-16 at Atlanta Dragway, but also at the POWERade Series events in Columbus June 10-13, Indianapolis Sept. 1-6, and Pomona Nov. 11-14.

"We're pleased to be able to reintroduce the Member Hospitality Center and are very excited to welcome Chicago Pneumatic on board as our sponsor," said Adriane Ridder, NHRA vice president-Publications. "Their support allows us to continue to offer this valuable benefit, and we encourage every NHRA member in attendance at these select events to stop by and experience firsthand what NHRA and Chicago Pneumatic have to offer."

Chicago Pneumatic designs, manufactures, and distributes a complete line of automotive air tools, cordless tools, electric tools, and air compressors. Founded in 1901, Chicago Pneumatic offers innovation representing the best thinking and design in the marketplace. As the company enters its second century, CP is rededicating itself to providing the best in design, ergonomics, improved quality systems and increased performance built on a platform of a century of knowledge.
Chicago Pneumatic's "Pull the Trigger" logo, already a familiar sight on the Manufacturers Midway during national events in 2004, will also greet racegoers at the reintroduced NHRA Member Hospitality Center presented by Chicago Pneumatic. Members can enjoy the Hospitality Center at NHRA POWERade Series events in Atlanta, Columbus, Indianapolis, and Pomona this season.

"The opportunity to support the NHRA Membership Hospitality Center is a complete honor and really adds to our Major Sponsorship commitment to the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series," said Jane Raniszewski, business communication manager at Chicago Pneumatic. "The whole NHRA community has welcomed us with open arms, and we really appreciate the support we have received in our kick-off season with NHRA."

Raniszewski added that, in addition to learning about CP's products at the Membership Hospitality Center, fans can "Pull the Trigger" at the CP Tool Box on the Manufacturer's Midway at all national events.

The NHRA Membership Hospitality Center presented by Chicago Pneumatic provides shade, seating, and a television broadcast of the on-track action. Members in attendance may also register for a chance to win the VIP Member of the Event drawing at 9.a.m. on race day, when one lucky winner and a guest will receive instant reserved-seat upgrades for that day's eliminations plus an exclusive tour of the starting line.

Members of NHRA, the NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League, and the NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing Series who present a valid membership card or a receipt for a membership purchased on site will receive admission to the Hospitality Center for themselves and two guests. Hours of operation in Atlanta are Thursday 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Friday 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
