NHRA fans can take Metrolink to Winternationals
1/23/2004
For the fifth consecutive year, Metrolink, Southern California's regional commuter rail service, is offering the K&N Filters Winternationals at Pomona Raceway as one of its trip destinations. The NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series 2004 season-opener takes place at the historic Los Angeles County Fairgrounds racing complex Feb. 19-22.
During the K&N Filters Winternationals, Metrolink's San Bernardino Line will provide service throughout the weekend. From the Metrolink station at Fairplex (marked NHRA on the Metrolink schedule) it's only a few yards to the entrance of the main gate at Pomona Raceway. The Fairplex stop will be in addition to the San Bernardino Line trains regularly scheduled stops.
For train schedules and directions to the nearest Metrolink station, check online at www.metrolinktrains.com or call (800) 371-LINK.
Metrolink is Southern California's regional commuter rail service and is in its ninth year of operation. The Southern California Regional Rail Authority, a joint powers authority made up of an 11-member board representing the transportation commissions of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, governs the service. Metrolink continues to be one of the nation's fastest growing commuter rail services, operating over six routes through a six-county, 416-mile network
