Disney Jr. Dragster movie voted best sports movie of 2003
1/15/2004
Right on Track, a Disney Channel Original Movie based on the careers of NHRA Jr. drag racers Erica and Courtney Enders was voted "Most Awesome Sports Movie of the Year" as part of the Disney Channel's "Raven New Year's Eve" awards program.
Right On Track, which premiered March 21, 2003, follows the drag-racing adventures of the Houston-based Enders sisters from their humble beginnings to the NHRA championship limelight. The award-winning movie depicts two young girls inspired by their father's love for them and motorsports. He shepherds their careers, teaching them the meaning of determination, perseverance, how to both win and lose along with the importance of family values.

With a hugely popular following of kids ages 5 to 17 and their entire families, excitement about the movie resulted in the second highest rated Disney Channel movie of all time.
Current estimates are that more than 50 million people have watched the movie at least once while the votes cast for Right On Track during the New Year's Eve program exceeded 1.5 million votes.
