NHRA to air on TSN for third consecutive year

NHRA officials announced today that The Sports Network (TSN) in Canada will air NHRA's national event schedule in 2004, dedicating nearly 60 hours of programming to NHRA, the fastest and most exciting motorsport in the world.

It is the third consecutive year that TSN will deliver the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series to Canadian drag racing fans. The final round coverage of all 23 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing events will be telecast on a taped-delay basis, beginning with the 44th annual K&N Filters Winternationals and concluding with the 40th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals. The coverage includes the airing of the 50th anniversary of the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals from Indianapolis Raceway Park in Indianapolis.

NHRA has a strong fan following in Canada, including eight member tracks: Luskville, Que. (Luskville Dragway); Napierville, Que. (Napierville Raceway); Gimli, Man. (Viking International Raceway); Medicine Hat, Alta. (M.H.D.R.A. Dragstrip); Mission, B.C. (Mission Raceway); Ashcroft, B.C. (Nl'Akapxm Eagle Motorplex); Prince George, B.C. (North Central Motorsports Park); Saskatoon, Sask. (Saskatchewan International Raceway).
