4/17/2004
NHRA and ESPN have formally extended their television relationship through 2006. In 2001, NHRA and ESPN, the worldwide leader in sports, signed a historic five-year relationship giving ESPN the exclusive rights to NHRA Drag Racing programming, which includes the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, NHRA 2Day, and the NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing Series. Since that time, NHRA has enjoyed more hours of programming per year and a significant increase in viewership, unparalleled in the sport's 53-year history.
