Metrolink, Southern California's regional commuter rail service, is offering the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at Pomona Raceway as one of its trip destinations. The NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series 2004 season-finale takes place at the historic Los Angeles County Fairgrounds auto racing complex Nov. 11-14.

During the 40th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals, Metrolink's San Bernardino Line will provide service throughout the weekend. From the Metrolink station at Fairplex (marked NHRA on the Metrolink schedule) it's only a few yards to the entrance of the main gate at Pomona Raceway. The Fairplex stop will be in addition to the San Bernardino Line trains regularly scheduled stops.

Metrolink is Southern California's regional commuter rail service and is in its ninth year of operation. The Southern California Regional Rail Authority, a joint powers authority made up of an 11-member board representing the transportation commissions of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, governs the service. Metrolink continues to be one of the nation's fastest growing commuter rail services, operating over six routes through a six-county, 416-mile network.

Historic Pomona Raceway, located at the Los Angeles County Fairplex, has been home to NHRA's season-opening K&N Filters Winternationals since 1961 and to the season-ending Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals since 1984.
