Autolite XP spark plugs and Prestone antifreeze/coolant have announced a major sponsorship agreement with Bob Gilbertson's Terminator Motorsports Funny Car team beginning in 2005.
Autolite and Prestone are divisions of the Honeywell Consumer Products Group, which manufactures and markets Fram filters, Prestone antifreeze/coolant, Autolite spark plugs and ignition wire sets, and Holts car care products.
"We're very happy to welcome Bob Gilbertson's Funny Car team to the Autolite/Prestone division of the Honeywell Consumer Products Group family," said Jeff Bye, corporate vice president. "We're delighted to team up with Bob next year and be able to help him attain his goal of winning races and finishing in the NHRA POWERade top 10."
"It's an honor to be associated with the Autolite/Prestone division of Honeywell Products," Gilbertson said. "We've had a long-time relationship with them and they've always supported us through thick and thin. With their help we'll now have the resources to help us win rounds and finish in the top 10 in 2005."
"Autolite's support will allow us to take this team to the next level," said Nick Boninfante, Gilbertson's crew chief. "I'm looking forward to 2005 and with the resources we'll have access to we will definitely step-up next year."
