Pro, Sportsman drivers to help promote CSK Nats with appearances

NHRA Professional and Sportsman drag racers will be promoting this weekend's Checker Schuck's Kragen Nationals with appearances at a Phoenix-area CSK store and Del Taco restaurant Thursday.
Pro racers John Force, Del Worsham, Phil Burkart, Tony Bartone, John Smith, Rhonda Hartman Smith, Ron Capps, and Clay Millican and Sportsman racers, including national champs Dean Carter and Jack Beckman, as well as Jenna Lucy, Milt Gedo, Gary Forkner, and Brent Cannon will appear at the Checker Schuck's Kragen stores at 5858 W. Camelback Road in Glendale from 5-8 p.m. Some of their racecars will be on display as well. Additionally, fans can register to win four tickets to the Checker Schuck's Kragen Nationals, including special reserved section, catered lunch, VIP Hospitality Area, and souvenirs.
Meanwhile, at the Phoenix Del Taco at 4926 E. Chandler Blvd., Funny Car ace Tommy Johnson Jr. (3-5 p.m.) and Team Mopar drivers Allen Johnson, Larry Morgan, and Darrell Alderman (5-7 p.m.) will be on hand for the giveaway of a Suzuki Ozark ATV (registration for the giveaway already is closed) and a pair of event tickets for the Checker Schuck's Kragen Nationals. KZON-FM (101.5 Alt Rock) will be on site.
