Mac Tools will debut a special team featuring drivers from each NHRA professional category to form the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals Tribute Team. This elite team of drivers will showcase a special commemorative paint scheme that will run one time only at the 50th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals.

This team includes Top Fuel veteran Cory McClenathan, Funny Car favorite Del Worsham, Pro Stock Rookie of the Year candidate Jason Line, and Pro Stock Bike rider Shawn Gann.

"My family has been involved with Mac Tools for quite a long time," McClenathan said. "I've carried their logo on my cars officially ever since my days with Joe Gibbs Racing. I was extremely touched to be able to carry their paint scheme on my car two years ago at this event and I can't believe how fortunate I am to do it again."

The Mac Tools U.S. Nationals Tribute Team is another way Mac Tools wanted to show its loyalty toward a long and dedicated involvement in auto racing and to NHRA fans. The Tribute Team will be pitted together at this year's U.S. Nationals event.

"I can't even imagine how cool it would be to win the 50th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals," Worsham said. "It may be just another race in terms of points, but in no way is it just another race. Every year, it's the big one, and this year is even bigger and we're really looking forward to representing Mac Tools and CSK Auto at this race."

Each 50th annual U.S. Nationals hot rod will each feature a special edition patriotic paint scheme of red, white, and blue, glistening with silver stars. Fans will get a chance at a sneak peak at these special cars and their drivers from 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Fan Fest in downtown Indianapolis.

Race enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to own a special piece of U.S. Nationals history by purchasing a limited edition collectables set of the team from their local Mac Tools distributor. Only 500 pieces will be made and the set will consist of McClenathan's 1/24" scale Top Fuel Dragster, Worsham's Funny Car measured at 1/24" scale, Jason Line's 1/24" scale Pro Stocker, and Gann's 1/9" scale Suzuki Pro Stock Bike, as well as a Mac commemorative transporter 1/64" scale die-cast trailer. Each piece within the five-piece set features the U.S. Nationals Team commemorative paint scheme and is displayed in a custom Mac Tools gift box, sequentially numbered with a custom mirrored display case.

Mac Tools became the first primary sponsor of the circuit's most prestigious event, the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, in 2001.
