Chicago, pre-race: Dave Connolly and the Bullet Motorsports team are looking forward to fourth annual CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals. Connolly, fresh off his second Pro Stock win of the 2004 season, hopes to make it two-in-a-row at Route 66 Raceway, where he launched his Pro Stock career in 2003.
Rumors concerning Connolly and the Bullet Motorsports team have been circulating through the racing community. Team owner Michael Dzurilla lays all speculation to rest: "Bullet Motorsports is staying together and will be returning in 2005 to chase the Pro Stock championship with Dave Connolly as our driver."
Connolly will be doing double duty this weekend by competing in both Pro Stock and the Super Comp categories. Connolly has collected two wins, five runner-ups, and three semifinal finishes since entering the Pro ranks.
