Conditions are about as bad as they've been all weekend. It's hot, muggy, and the track is gooey - it should be an interesting round of Pro Stock Bike! This is Steve Johnson's 17th trip to Indy, he's never won here. Shaun Gann has come close - he's been the runner-up twice.

Johnson got the better light, but Gann had more than enough horsepower to drive by at the 330-foot mark. That is Gann's best pass of the weekend...

Phillips backed his bike out of the pre-stage beams and re-staged, evidently the bike wasn't staged straight.

He may have still had problems, Phillips made a move toward the centerline, which cost him a lot of E.T.

Scali slowed, Hines improved, the Harley V-Rod moves into the next round. Andrew Hines' MOV: 0.1446 seconds (approximately 39 feet).

Oh No! Ellis and George Bryce were unable to get their V-Rod started, they were last seen slowly pushing the bike back into the staging area. Matte's single was problem free, he will face Gann in the next round.

It's not the quickest run of the round, but Antron will have lane choice against Craig Treble in round two.

Angelle has raced at Indy more times (7) than any rider competing in PSB except for Steve Johnson, that's a bit of a surprise.

Angelle's 1.076 60-foot time is the best of the round, Helvie may have staged a little deeper than he wanted to. In round two Angelle will race Bostick, and she will choose which lane to run in.

Hunter was late - at the finish Tonglet's Harley lead by more than two bike lengths. Tonglet will face Andrew Hines in the next round. 12:24 p.m.

1:46 p.m. Antron Brown and Treble have squared off 19 times, Brown leads the series 13-6.

Brown sends the Army to the semis, if Angelle wins her race the two Army sponsored Suzuki's will battle it out. Antron Brown's MOV: 0.0737 seconds (approximately 19 feet).

Matte is the 33rd different rider Shawn Gann has raced in Pro Stock bike, they have never faced each other before.

Matte drifted out of the groove and slowed.

Savoie's Suzuki bogged badly off the line, recorded a slow 1.155 60-foot time and trailed the rest of the way. Bostick will have lane choice over Brown in the semis.

Tonglet took a shot at the tree and missed by a tiny margin. Hines would have been very tough, that is low ET of elminations for Hines. In the semis Hines will race Gann, and Andrew will have lane choice. 1:53 p.m.

Bostick has equaled his all time round win total today, he's just one round from going to his first final. Byron Hines loaned Bostick an engine to compete with, this should be a great drag race.

It was a dead heat off the starting line, Brown pulled away steadily from that point.

Great drag race!! Both riders had psychic reaction times, It was a dead heat till the 330-foot mark when Gann started to pull out a small margin. Shawn Gann's incremental margins: 60ft(0.004), 330 ft(0.004), 660ft(0.011), 1,000ft(0.014). MOV: 0.0046 seconds (approximately 15 inches).

Gann will have lane choice in the final.

Antron's Army Suzuki was very quick off the starting line, Brown made up the gap between them by the 60-foot timers. Gann followed closely, but couldn't make up the difference gained on the starting line. 4:34 p.m.
