Stoffer primed for U.S. Nationals
Indianapolis, pre-race: Getting ready for the upcoming 50th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, the biggest drag race of the year, is exciting for Karen Stoffer and the Jonco Motorsports team. The weeks spent since Memphis have been used to gear up for this big event.
"We will be heading to Indy with two freshened-up motors and with Geico Cycle Gard firmly affixed to the side of our Suzuki for the remainder of the season," Stoffer said. "To me, that means we have a complete team again, and we will be striving for peak performances and consistent passes in Indy."
The U.S. Nationals are somewhat of a beginning for Stoffer and the Jonco team. They start anew with the qualifying season of the next K&N Klash and as of the beginning of 2005, with Underdog Racing and teammate Frank Pedregon.
"Frank's debut this weekend at the U.S. Nationals makes the race just that much more exciting for us," said team owner Doug Johnson. "Even though we officially begin in 2005 with Underdog, this weekend we will be cheering for a future teammate in another professional class."
