Current weather conditions: 76 degrees, 75 percent relative humidity, the barometer 29.45 inches, adjusted altitude 2064 feet, with a track temperature of 114 degrees.

Seward launched and then sounded like the car never shifted and he shut off early.

Before Staging

Johnson can't get the car to start, so they pull the front end off and start working feverishly. Morgan had already pulled up to the water box and is waiting patiently. He waits until Rick Stewart waved him to do his burnout. Morgan does his burnout and backs up slowly and takes his time while Stewart is waving him to stage. The Johnson team gets the car to fire, but then have trouble getting the front end on. Finally, at the urging of Stewart, Morgan stages. Johnson's team finally gets the hood to latch, Johnson tries driving to the starting line, but it was too late. Morgan did everything he could to wait for Johnson in a great show of sportsmanship.

Morgan with a big starting line advantage and had the lead until 1000 feet when Anderson was able to chase him down for the win. Anderson after being the runner-up here for the last three year earns the win. Anderson becomes only the third Pro Stock driver to win five consecutive race. Anderson increases his point lead to 243 points.
