McClenathan with a nice pass until just before the finish line when he
started to drop cylinders
on the right side and got real close to the centerline.

Palmer with his first pass of the event and Rob Flynn is making
the tuning decisions now.
Palmer launches and then the front end starts climbing and he had to
lift to keep it from being
a blow over. Smith with a nice looking pass here to get in the show
for now.

Kalivoda launched hard and keep the Goodyears stuck and hitting on

show. Chrisman started dropping cylinders from half track on.

Weis started to strike the tires and then threw the blower belt of
by 300 feet. Hallock's
engine went silent around 600 feet.

Strasburg was up in smoke right off the starting line. Kalitta

Both cars lose traction as soon as the hit the throttle.

No help for either of these two. Russell with almost identical
