      Left Lane: Cory McClenathan Runs 4.605/318.09, Now #5
                                  No Prior Run
Current weather conditions: 67 degrees, 49 percent relative humidity, the barometer 28.83 inches, 2079 feet adjusted altitude, with a track temperature of 75 degrees.

McClenathan with a nice pass until just before the finish line when he started to drop cylinders on the right side and got real close to the centerline.

Palmer with his first pass of the event and Rob Flynn is making the tuning decisions now. Palmer launches and then the front end starts climbing and he had to lift to keep it from being a blow over. Smith with a nice looking pass here to get in the show for now.

Kalivoda launched hard and keep the Goodyears stuck and hitting on all eight to get in the show. Chrisman started dropping cylinders from half track on.

     Right Lane: Scott Weis       Runs 8.638/91.89, Now #14

Weis started to strike the tires and then threw the blower belt of by 300 feet. Hallock's engine went silent around 600 feet.
      Left Lane: Mike Strasburg   Runs 12.327/84.07, Now #16

     Right Lane: Scott Kalitta    Runs 4.577/324.36, Now #5
                                  Best prior run: 4.771/292.96, Was #13
Strasburg was up in smoke right off the starting line. Kalitta with a great looking pass to get into the top half of the show.
      Left Lane: Rhonda Hartman-Smith

     Right Lane: David Baca       Runs 4.603/314.39, Now #6
                                  Best prior run: 4.723/307.58, Was #13
Hartman-Smith had tire shake and then threw the blower belt off and coasted on through the 1320. Baca made a move in the right direction here.

Both of the beer cars improve here. Dixon was able to drive through some tire shake. Bernstein gets into the top half of the show.

These two are glued together all the way down the 1320, but do not improve on last week's times.

Both cars lose traction as soon as the hit the throttle.
      Left Lane: Tony Schumacher  Runs 4.574/315.64, Now #1
                                  Best prior run: 4.514/326.32, Was #1
     Right Lane: Darrell Russell  Runs 4.522/306.05, Now #2
                                  Best prior run: 4.520/321.73, Was #2
No help for either of these two. Russell with almost identical E.T. of last weekend. They will stay number one and two.
