As a result of runs posted at National Open events at Orlando Speed World Dragway and Montgomery Motorsports Park the horsepower adjustments have been made. These changes are effective immediately.

Due to the 1.69-under run in K/SA at the Montgomery Open, the 1977-78 Pontiac 400 180/276 has been increased by nine horsepower to 285. This represents a 3.25 percent increase and effects the Pontiac Firebird only.

A 1.51-under run in U/SA at the Orlando event has increased the horsepower rating the for the 1980-84 Buick 252 125/170 by six horsepower, to 176. This represents a 3.25 percent increase.
