Jeg's Allstars Comp CIC rule amended
12/17/2003
Over the past several years, there have been a number of Competition Eliminator racers concerned about runs at the Jeg's Allstars counting as permanent CIC index hits. The racers' concern was based on the event being outside the scope of normal elimination runs, meaning they should not count towards any permanent CIC adjustments.
After reviewing this issue, the NHRA Division Directors and the NHRA Competition Committee agreed with the racers' thinking and will no longer count any Jeg's Allstar runs towards a permanent CIC.
However, Jeg's Allstars Competition Eliminator racers must compete in a class in which they actively earned division points. This will eliminate the possibility for Comp racers to "borrow" another competitor's car to be able to run in a class with a so-called "softer" index.
