Racer Soundoff: Lifters in Stock

08/17/2003

With the finalization of the 2004 NHRA Rulebook in full swing, a hot subject for change within Stock eliminator for next season has been presented.

Over the past few years, NHRA has noticed that the hydraulic lifter in Stock has changed significantly from an OEM-style hydraulic lifter. Additionally, because numerous racers have requested the use of solid lifters in any Stock engine, the NHRA technical department has proposed for 2004 that solid lifters be permitted on any Stock engine.

Send your comments, concerns, and opinions on the proposed rule change to allow solid lifters in Stock to racerinput@nhra.com.
