Haddock looking to finish his best year at Pomona
Pomona, pre-race: Terry Haddock owner/driver of the VF Trucking, Inc./Wheel Vintiques Camaro is looking forward to competing at the 39th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals this weekend at Pomona Raceway. With his recent performances, Haddock knows he has the opportunity to finish this year in the top 20 of the points standings.
With the assistance of crew chief Paul Smith, the entire team has been showing a lot of improvement in performance. Haddock ran a career best in Indy at a 4.924 at 308.99 mph. Then at Reading, in an almost unbelievable first round of upsets, Terry Haddock's first round win over John Force shows that this team cannot be overlooked. Haddock then ran another best mph of 310.70 at Las Vegas just two weeks
"These past few weekends have been awesome," Haddock said. "My crew is really clicking and it is showing in our performance. Without all of them this performance improvement would not have been possible".
The entire VF Trucking, Inc./Wheel Vintiques crew is anxious to get back to racing this weekend to show their stuff.
"Paul has been outstanding in his ability to get us up to the consistency that we need" said Haddock. "We are making good passes and not hurting anything. This is allowing us to get some new parts and performance improvements are following."
Haddock is currently 19th in the 2003 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series point standings, and will finish in the top 20 in points for the first time.
