Savoie will get to pick over Showers, Collis picks over Scali and Brown over Hines in the second stanza.

Here we go again as Hines goes red by just .003 to automatically advance the Army bike.(W) Geno Scali (Trim-Tex Suzuki) 0.016 7.288 172.21 (L) Fred Collis (Star Racing Suzuki) -0.013(R) 7.282 183.27And yet another bulb as Collis is .013 too quick on the tree and the bikes run matching 7.28's(W) Reggie Showers (PDI Prosthetic Design Suzuki0.002 7.264 184.52 (L) Angelle Savoie (US Army Suzuki) 0.057 7.251 184.62Reggie stole one here with a holeshot ,going .002 on the tree to hold of a quicker Savoie.(W) Shawn Gann (Gann Speed Airtech Suzuki) 0.015 7.270 184.30 (L) GT Tonglet (Screamin' Eagle Harley) -0.024(R) 7.251 189.34With Willie G looking on Tonglet joins the rest of the red light bandits to eliminate the last Harley threat, wasting a better e.t. as did his teammate Hines. The first round set a record for the number of red lights in the professional categories and this series of runs will just add to the litany of wasted chances. Gann's 7.27 will give him lane choice against Brown while Showers will pick over Scali.

Results for Elimination Round 3CLERMONT, Ind. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of round 3 eliminations in Pro Stock Bike at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 49th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals: W/L Driver RT ET Speed (W) Shawn Gann (Gann Speed Airtech Suzuki) 0.077 7.300 182.82 (L) Antron Brown (US Army Suzuki) -0.005(R) 7.401 181.28Well, here we go again as Brown goes red by 3 thousandths and hands this one to Gann who seals the deal with a 7.300.(W) Reggie Showers (PDI Prosthetic Design Suzuki0.088 7.230 180.57 (L) Geno Scali (Trim-Tex Suzuki) 0.062 7.423 177.56Showers was last off the line as both riders played it safe in the reaction time stakes but the George Bryce horsepower came into play and the PDI bike simply drove around the points leader. Reggie will have lane choice over Gann in the money run which could be worth an additional $10,000 to Showers with the double up bonus.

Results for Final RoundCLERMONT, Ind. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Pro Stock Bike at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 49th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals: W/L Driver RT ET Speed (W) Reggie Showers (PDI Prosthetic Design Suzuki0.021 7.264 181.40 (L) Shawn Gann (Gann Speed Airtech Suzuki) 0.054 7.232 188.04Current weather conditions: 78 degrees, 47 percent relative humidity, the barometer 30.07 inches, with a track temperature of 107 degrees.Gann has switched back to the old body due to the newer unit fouling the shift linkage. Gann has trouble firing the bike but eventually makes it into the beams.Showers is on his game on the tree and his holeshot is telling as Gann runs quicker and faster but come just one thousandth (about 3") short of catching the PDI machine. Reggie not only collects the double up bonus but also his first ever NHRA event victory at the biggest race on the tour.
