Infineon Raceway
Located in Sonoma Valley’s wine country, Infineon Raceway has hosted the Fram Autolite NHRA Nationals since 1988. Last year, at the first race at the newly rebuilt facility formerly called Sears Point Raceway, Doug Herbert defeated Doug Kalitta in the Top Fuel final for his first and only win of the year. John Force defeated Ron Capps in the Funny Car final by .003-second. For the first time in eight years, Larry Morgan won Pro Stock, and Warren Johnson’s 15-year, 303-race consecutive qualifying string ended. Craig Treble added to event firsts by winning the first Pro Stock Bike eliminator held at this race.

HOW TO GET THERE: The track is 30 minutes north of San Francisco at the junction of Highways 37 and 121. From Sacramento, take Interstate 80 to Highway 12 to Highway 29. Travel north on Highway 29 to Highway 121, then west to the track. For quick access, avoid using Highway 37 westbound from Vallejo to Highway 121. From East Bay cities, take I-580 west across the San Rafael Bridge to Highway 101, then travel north to Highway 37 and east to Highway 121 or Lakeville Highway (both have track entrances)
