Bandimere Speedway
The 13th stop on this years NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series circuit is unlike any other. Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Bandimere Speedways 5,860-foot elevation has presented a unique challenge for racers since the first national event was held here in 1979. Last year, at what is arguably the most scenic stop on the NHRA tour, Darrell Russell (Top Fuel), Del Worsham (Funny Car), and Mike Edwards (Pro Stock) won for the first time on the mountain. Matt Hines defeated Angelle Savoie in Pro Stock Bike for his first win at his home track since his last of three straight in 1998.

HOW TO GET THERE: The track is 10 miles west of Denver just north of the historic town of Morrison. From Denver, take Interstate 70 west to C-470 and travel south to the Morrison Road exit. Take Morrison Road west to Rooney Road and go north to the track
