This year’s Sears Craftsman NHRA Nationals will run at night – unique on the NHRA calendar and sure to result in spectacular racing. Last year at this event, the 12th of the year and the traditional end of the first half of the season, Larry Dixon failed to qualify in Top Fuel after advancing to the final at 10 of the first 11 events. Kenny Bernstein capitalized on that and scored his first Gateway win in the hometown of his longtime sponsor, Budweiser. John Force won in Funny Car, Jeg Coughlin Jr. captured the Pro Stock title for the first time in 2002, and Angelle Savoie won in Pro Stock Bike. MAILING
