Heartland Park Topeka
Heartland Park Topeka has hosted at least one NHRA national event every year since 1989 and is best known as the site of the first four-second and 300-mph Funny Car runs in 1993 by Chuck Etchells and Jim Epler, respectively. In 1995, Joe Amato ran the first 4.5-second e.t. here, and Cruz Pedregon defeated John Force in the first 300-mph Funny Car race. In 1996, Force defeated Al Hofmann in the first four-second Funny Car race. Last year, Darrell Russell stopped Larry Dixon for his first Top Fuel win of the year, Tony Pedregon won Funny Car, and Troy Coughlin won Pro Stock for the second time in his career.
