Following recommendations from a significant number of Stock and Super Stock racers and the Sportsman Racers Association, the NHRA Competition Committee has elected to disallow deep staging in those two categories for the 2002 season. However, the ruling has been postponed until the Mac Tools Gatornationals in an effort to solicit additional input from racers who will be affected by this ruling.
