12/01/2002
The 10th annual Pontiac Excitement Pro Stock SuperBowl returns to Houston Raceway Park Feb. 1. All Pro Stock, Pro Stock Bike, and Pro Mod competitors interested in a final test-and-tune session prior to the start of the 2003 season are invited to attend.
"We're certainly excited about giving the fans a first look at the 2003 race teams as they debut their new cars right here at Houston Raceway Park," said Gerald Critchfield, Houston Raceway Park's general manager. "The Pontiac Excitement Pro Stock SuperBowl will provide drivers with their first real competitive race as they conclude their winter testing. We get an outstanding turnout of professional drivers, so it's sure to be an exciting event since it's the last test session these competitors will have before the season gets underway."
Two-time series champion Jim Yates is scheduled to bring his SplitFire/Peak Pontiac Grand Am to Houston.
