Bandimere Speedway
The 13th stop on this year's NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series circuit is unlike any other. Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Bandimere Speedway's 5,860-foot elevation has presented a unique challenge for racers since the first national event was held there in 1979. Last year at what is arguably the most scenic stop on the NHRA tour, Warren Johnson's 86th Pro Stock win moved him ahead of Bob Glidden on that class' all-time win list. Pro Stock Bike winner Angelle Savoie also achieved a milestone as her 19th win moved her past Shirley Muldowney. HOW TO GET THERE: The track is 10 miles west of Denver just north of the historic town of Morrison. From Denver, take Interstate 70 west to C-470 and travel south to the Morrison Road exit. Take Morrison Road west to Rooney Road and go north to the track
