Allen Johnson Dodge Neon R/T Pro Stocker

Reports: Pre-race

Phoenix, pre-race: Allen Johnson, from Greeneville, Tenn., is excited about going to the desert for the Checker-Schuck's Kragen Nationals.

Johnson, owner and driver of the 2002 Dodge Neon R/T out of Johnson & Johnson Racing and teammate Tom Lee are ready for the Phoenix race.

"We took our engines back to the shop to freshen up after Pomona just to make sure they are up to it for Firebird Raceway." Johnson said. "Dad (engine builder Roy Johnson) really has out engines making good power. We are always learning more about the new Hemi."

Lee is on a mission too. "We had good speed at Pomona but, missed the setup to get the car quick enough to make the field. We are working hard on the setup to get the car through 60 feet." Lee said "Mark Ingersoll, our chassis specialist, has a few tricks left and I feel good about this weekend."
