Only Indianapolis Raceway Park and Pomona Raceway have been around longer than National Trail Raceway, which has hosted an NHRA national event in the second week of June since 1972. Probably best known for producing some of drag racing's biggest surprises, including Chuck Harris' only win in Pro Stock in 1996 and Phil Burkart Jr.'s stunning Funny Car victory in 1999, it was here last year that Pro Stock winner Mark Pawuk snapped his 107-race winless streak with a storybook victory in front of his sponsors and hometown fans. Other Pro-category winners were Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel), Tony Pedregon (Funny Car), Randy Daniels (Pro Stock Truck), and Angelle Seeling (Pro Stock Bike).

How to get there:
The track is about 20 miles east of Columbus on old U.S. Highway 40, one mile north of Interstate 70 at the Kirkersville exit. From Columbus, take I-70 to Highway 158 north and follow the signs, or take I-70 to Highway 37 north to U.S. Highway 40 and follow the signs.
