The owners of Houston Raceway Park, in conjunction with numerous sponsors and the NHRA, are offering a variety of ticket deals for race fans for this weekend's O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Spring Nationals presented by Pennzoil.

Perhaps the most enticing of them all is Happy Hour Friday, which allows for half-price tickets for Friday's second round of qualifying. Fans wishing to take advantage of the Happy Hour price of $17 per person will be allowed entrance to Houston Raceway Park any time after 4 p.m. The second session begins with Pro Mod at 4:30 p.m., followed by Pro Stock Motorcycle, Pro Stock, Funny Car, and Top Fuel.

Friday night's action will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show.

"The Friday evening qualifying session usually produces some incredible elapsed times and top speeds," said Seth Angel, Houston Raceway Park general manager. "It is our hope that people can come directly from school or work and enjoy some professional drag racing at an affordable price."

Other ticket deals include the AAA Show Your Card and Save promotion. Fans who show their AAA card at the Houston Raceway Park ticket window Friday can save $11 on a full-event ticket. The offer is only good at the Houston Raceway Park ticket office Friday.

Race sponsor O’Reilly Auto Parts will have a discount coupon good for $10 off advance purchase or $5 off gate purchase for tickets to any day of the event. Advance-purchase discount must be redeemed by Thursday at HoustonRaceway.com, password: NHRA.

Series sponsor Full Throttle is getting involved with a Can Redemption program that allows fans to save $8 on any ticket by presenting an empty Full Throttle can at the Houston Raceway Park ticket office.

Finally, participating Houston-area Burger King restaurants are distributing $5-off coupons for any advance-purchase tickets or tickets purchased at the gate. Fans may activate the discount at HoustonRaceway.com, password: KING.

Houston Raceway Park is off Interstate 10 in Baytown. Race fans should take State Highway 99 (Exit 799) and proceed south. Exit at FM 565 and turn right. Houston Raceway Park is a quarter-mile farther on the right.
