Mike Dunn's Houston Power Rankings
Wednesday, April 23, 2014

Antron Brown, Robert Hight, and Erica Enders-Stevens are the top picks in ESPN2 analyst Mike Dunn's Power Rankings heading into the O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA SpringNationals presented by Super Start Batteries in Houston.

Rank Driver Plus/minus
1. Antron Brown +2
2. Doug Kalitta Even
3. Shawn Langdon -2
Mike's notes: These three drivers are in a class of their own right now based on the formula. The driver to watch not on the list would be J.R. Todd. He had a great car in Charlotte and will be working hard to redeem himself after making the quickest run in the final and crossing the line in third place.
Rank Driver Plus/minus
1. Robert Hight Even
2. John Force +2
3. Alexis DeJoria -1
Mike's notes: It doesn't happen very often, especially in Funny Car, but the top three in points are also the three best-performing cars the last three races. The one to watch not on the list will be Tim Wilkerson. He made it to the final here last year and is coming off a good showing in Charlotte.
Rank Driver Plus/minus
1. Erica Enders-Stevens Even
2. Jeg Coughlin Jr. +1
3. Chris McGaha NR
Mike's notes: Based strictly on performance, these are the top three. Enders-Stevens is no surprise, but Coughlin and McGaha are ninth and 10th in the points. I still like their chances. Coughlin had a good car in Charlotte but missed the Tree by .005. McGaha is improving on the Tree, so I believe that he has a good chance to get his first Pro Stock Wally!
