Dates set for Snake & Mongoose film home releases

Anchor Bay Films has announced dates for the upcoming release of Snake & Mongoose for digital download and On Demand access as well as for Blu-ray/DVD.

Premiering originally in a series of star-studded events that spanned the nation and included stops in Reno, Detroit, Indianapolis and Los Angeles, the film riveted audiences with an eye-opening look at the birth of a phenomenon, chronicling the historic drag racing careers of Don “the Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “the Mongoose” McEwen as they crisscrossed the country with their Hot Wheels Funny Cars.

Lauded by Moviereporter.com as “a lot more than a racing movie,” the film stars Jesse Williams as Prudhomme and Richard Blake as McEwen and features a soundtrack that includes some of the most notable artists and anthems of the time, including ZZ Top’s "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide."

Digital download will be available first on iTunes and Amazon Instant Video, and On Demand across select cable providers March 4, and on Blu-ray/DVD April 8 The announcement comes on the heels of the historic screening at the 2014 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction where Snake & Mongoose became the first film ever screened in the legendary automotive event’s 43-year history.
