Top Fuel racer Steve Torrence, Funny Car competitor Jack Beckman, and Pro Stock pilot Erica Enders clinched positions in NHRA's Full Throttle Countdown to the Championship as the result of competition at the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Northwest Nationals presented by Super Start Batteries.

By qualifying for the Top Fuel field, Torrence became the latest driver in the category to clinch; Beckman and Enders punched their tickets based on race-day successes. Six of the 10 spots are now filled in the Pro Stock class, the most of any of the Full Throttle eliminators.

Only two races remain before the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series regular season concludes Labor Day weekend at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Auto-Plus. A six-race playoff series will lead to the crowning of the 2012 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series champs.
