Autograph seekers rejoice! Bristol Dragway is taking some of the legwork out of chasing a few of NHRA’s biggest signatures.
While NHRA competitors are the most accessible athletes in sports, a limited number of pre-autographed tickets are available for fans who purchase in advance for the June 15-17 Ford NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals presented by Tri-Cities Area Ford Dealers.
John and Courtney Force, Tony Schumacher, Antron Brown, Spencer Massey, Ron Capps, Matt Hagan, Jack Beckman, Johnny Gray, Greg Anderson, Jason Line, and Alexis DeJoria have signed tickets to be given to fans who purchase in advance for the event.
On Wednesday, May 16, the autographed tickets will become available to fans ready to experience the jaw-dropping excitement of the NHRA in Thunder Valley. Fans must call Bristol Dragway to choose the ticket they want included with their purchase. Due to limited quantities, each ticket account will receive one autographed ticket while supplies last.
John Force, arguably the biggest name in NHRA racing, is a 15-time Funny Car champion and owner of John Force Racing. His daughter Courtney is one of NHRA’s youngest stars, competing in her first full season on the circuit. Though she only has been in the premier series for a few months, she already has become a fan favorite.
Tony “the Sarge” Schumacher has a Top Fuel career that would make any driver jealous, and his Don Schumacher Racing teammates Brown and Massey are amassing impressive resumes as well. Capps is the most recent Funny Car winner on the NHRA circuit, and Hagan is the defending Funny Car champion.
DeJoria, also in the midst of her debut season of nitro Funny Car competition, is a veteran Top Alcohol Funny Car racer and event winner. She also has developed a vast fan following in a short period of time.
Teammates Anderson and Line won the 2010 and 2011 NHRA Pro Stock championships, respectively, and have combined to win six NHRA Pro Stock championships since 2003. Easily two of Pro Stock’s most decorated racers, Anderson and Line are battling each other atop the 2012 points standings.
To buy one of the autographed tickets, fans are encouraged to call the Bristol Dragway ticket office, 423 BRISTOL (423-274-7865) or 866-415-4158, early on May 16. The ticket office will open at 9 a.m.
