Pre-Finals Fan Fest in La Verne this Saturday

The city of La Verne, Calif., adjacent to Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, will host a free Fan Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, prior to the season-ending Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals at the fabled facility.

The Fan Fest will take place in Old Towne La Verne, at the intersection of D and 3rd streets.

John, Courtney, and Brittany Force will take part in an autograph session from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and NHRA Funny Car points leader Jack Beckman and fellow flopper pilot Jeff Arend also will be at the event. Race cars — including Robert Hight’s Auto Club Mustang display car and nostalgic front-engine dragsters — will line the city streets in a dazzling display of horsepower and chrome.

The band The Ravelers will entertain fans, who can get a $6 discount for any general-admission or reserved ticket for the Finals using the Fanfest promo code.
