DeJoria, Tequila Patron team head into NASCAR country
Friday, March 16, 2012

While most teams are enjoying a two-week breather from the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, NHRA Funny Car racer Alexis DeJoria and her Tequila Patron Toyota Camry Funny Car team are in Bristol this weekend to promote NHRA during the Food City 500 NASCAR race weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

DeJoria, along with current crew chief and reigning NHRA Top Fuel world champion Del Worsham, will be taking part in numerous appearances throughout the weekend, allowing motorsports fans to meet and greet her team. Her weekend itinerary will take her to various sponsor suites, where she will participate in Q&A sessions, to the media center, where she will meet with the press, and she will also participate in several autograph sessions with fans.

As one of the high-profile female racers in NHRA, DeJoria will be meeting and appearing with her NASCAR counterpart, Danica Patrick, for an event at the track.

Not one to shy away from any opportunity to experience fast cars, DeJoria will be riding in the pace car before the Ford EcoBoost 300 Nationwide race on Saturday and the Food City 500 Sprint Cup race on Sunday.

The Patron team will not only be starting the car during the opening ceremonies for both races over the weekend but will also be providing demonstrations of how the team can tear down and rebuild the 7,000-horsepower machine in the fast-paced world of NHRA.
