Zizzo to walk red carpet at Humane Society Awards

NHRA Top Fuel driver TJ Zizzo will attend the 26th annual Humane Society Genesis Awards March 24 in Beverly Hills, Calif., with his wife, Jennifer, and two marketing partners from Misix.

Misix, a sponsor of Zizzo and the Genesis Awards after-party/social-media lounge, will challenge attendees to test their racing reaction time against Zizzo using an NHRA practice Tree. Misix will donate an additional dollar to the Humane Society for every person who participates.

“Pets are an important part of my family. I believe pets, and animals in general, deserve consideration and should not be treated in ways that cause them suffering,” said Zizzo.

In conjunction with the awards, Misix and NHRA have donated The Ultimate NHRA Drag Racing Fan Experience Package to an online auction benefiting the Humane Society. The public is welcome to bid online for the package, valued at $2,000, through April 11 at 4 p.m. ET via the Charity Buzz website: www.charitybuzz.com/auctions/humanesociety/catalog_items/296301.

The Genesis Awards is the nation’s premier animal-welfare consciousness-raiser acknowledging the efforts of the international media, entertainment, social, business, and humane communities working to make a difference.
